Please find below the dates to note for the upcoming events for Reconciliation and our Sacraments 2022 celebration on the Feast of Christ the King.

FIRST RECONCILIATION WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS/CARERS AND CHILDREN WHO HAVE YET TO ATTEND.
Please note the change of date due to “All Souls” day masses being held at the cemetery at Mudgee and Gulgong. We hope this does not cause you any inconvenience.

FIRST RECONCILIATION RETREAT DAY 
A warm invitation is extended to Parents/Carers to come along and join your child on this special day.

FIRST RECONCILIATION SESSIONS 
For those who have booked sessions. An email with your session day and time will be sent to you by Friday of this week. Please check your junk or spam mail.

25th OCTOBER WORKSHOP POSTPONED TO 1st NOVEMBER

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please be advised that the Parent/Carer and Child workshop being held on, Tuesday 25th October at 5:45 pm, is POSTPONED to the following Tuesday due to the uncertain weather conditions and the hazardous state of the roads, particularly in the surrounding areas.

Hence, the workshop will now be held on Tuesday 1st November at 5:45 pm

This email has gone to everyone, including those who have already attended the first workshop in the hope that you could please pass on the message to anyone you know who is intending to attend tomorrow's workshop session. Thank you in advance.

Update #3 - 24th October, 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please be advised that if you are experiencing difficulty getting to mass due to the current weather and driving conditions and as such you may not have completed the 4 masses in time for the First Reconciliation on the 8th and 10th of November, we do understand. Your child can still make their First Reconciliation at your booked session date/time. We simply ask that you complete your child's journey and attend the masses, hand in their Call-to-Action sheets and take a photo booth photo at some stage in the following weeks so that we can complete their journey books.

For your information: This will delay the production of the journey books as we incorporate the Call-to-Action sheets and the photo booth pictures. Under these circumstances, we hope you understand that the journey books will not be given out on the First Reconciliation day. We will deliver them via the school when they are ready for all the children.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are having difficulties or have any questions or concerns via reply email.

Update #2 - 17th October, 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we are coming close to the end of our First Reconciliation journey, we thought it would be helpful to pass on some gentle reminders as listed below:

• Workshop: The Reconciliation Workshop is being held this Thursday 20th October 5:30 pm and repeated on Tuesday 25th October 5:30 pm. We ask that you attend ONE. Thank you 🙏
• Retreat Day: St Matthew's is running a Retreat Day on the 8th of November. More news on this is to come.
• Final Parent/Carer Session via Zoom: Please pass on the message that there will be a final Reconciliation session via zoom on Tuesday 18th October, 2022 at 7pm for parents/carers who were unable to attend the sessions at the end of the last term. Please note that this is the last opportunity to attend the parent/carer session for 2022. Thank you to those of you who have RSVP'd. It is advisable to have the First Reconciliation folder (available at the Parish Office) for this zoom meeting.

You may now also post your photo booth pictures on the school's private shared drive. If you have any difficulties or you are not familiar with uploading photos, you may send your photos to the sacraments email and we will upload the photos into your child's folder for you. Please note that if your child was not Baptised at St Mary's Mudgee, St John the Baptist Gulgong, St Malachy's Rylstone and St Dominic's Kandos, you will need to email us at sacraments or drop the baptismal certificate at the Parish Office.

Update #1 - 10th October, 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

Here is an update on the Reconciliation journey.

Thank you to those who have begun their faith journey during the holidays and have handed in their Call to Action sheets. You can now also post your photo booth pictures on the school's private shared drive.

If you have any difficulties or you are not familiar with uploading photos, just send your photos to the sacraments email and we will upload the photos into your child's folder for you. You can also click on the link to the private drive and view the photos.

If your child has not started the journey, we advise that you begin in order to complete the journey by Tuesday 8th of November which is the date for the first two group Reconciliation sessions.

Gentle reminders:

• You are able to attend Mass on Wednesdays (5:45 pm) as well as Saturdays (6 pm) or Sundays (9 am). We ask you to attend 4 masses prior to your child's Reconciliation Day.
• Reconciliation Workshops for both parents/carers and children are being held on Thursday 20th October 5:30 pm and Tuesday 25th October 5:30 pm.
  You only need to attend one of these.
  We will be participating in a craft activity and a Q&A session.
• St Matthew's school will be running a Reconciliation Retreat day for your child on the 8th of November.
• The group Reconciliation dates are:
  • Tuesday 8th November - 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm and 6:30 - 7:15 pm
  • Thursday 10th November - 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm and 6:30 - 7:15 pm
• Bookings for one of the Reconciliation sessions will be active on the Parish website (mudgee.catholic.org.au) from Monday 17th October.
• If you have not completed your enrolment and paid your contribution of $50, could you please attend to this by Tuesday 1st of November? If you have not received or picked up a Reconciliation folder from the Parish Office, please do so as you will need it for the zoom meeting. Thank you.
