Church Building Update: Stained Glass Window Repairs
The long-awaited repair work on our church windows is moving ahead!
As you may have noticed, scaffolding has been installed both on the exterior of the church's eastern wall and inside the Choir Loft. This marks the initial preparation phase for the essential maintenance and repair of our beautiful stained-glass windows.
- Current Status: Scaffolding is in place.
- Next Steps: Details regarding the exact start date of the intensive repair work and any potential temporary impact on daily services or Mass times will be shared here in the coming months.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to the completion of this vital restoration project.

Discover the Joy of Service at St. Mary's
St. Mary's Parish is a vibrant community where your time and talents can make a real difference. We offer a wide range of ministries, from welcoming newcomers to assisting with youth programs, teaching children about our faith, and supporting those in need.
We're currently looking for a few more helping hands to assist with some important roles that keep our parish life running smoothly.
Communion Service Leaders
Are you feeling called to a deeper role in our liturgy? We occasionally need dedicated lay people to lead communion services when our priests are away. This is a beautiful opportunity to help our community gather in prayer and receive the Eucharist, and we'll provide all the training you need to feel confident in this role.
Bell Ringers
The sound of our church bell has long been a part of the rhythm of our parish life. We're looking for caring people to learn the art of bell ringing for the Angelus, funerals, and special occasions like weddings. Your service would help mark these significant moments in the life of our parish community. Don't worry, we'll teach you everything you need to know!
If you feel called to serve in one of these wonderful ministries, please reach out to the Parish Office for more information. Your time and talent are a gift to us all!

Remembering Our Faithful Departed:
The Book of Remembrance
November is a sacred time in our Church year, dedicated to prayerful remembrance and intercession for all those who have died. We invite you to join our parish community in this beautiful tradition as we commit to praying for your departed loved ones throughout the entire month.
How We Remember at the Catholic Parish of St Mary of the Presentation Mudgee:
- The Book of Remembrance: We are preparing our special Book of Remembrance, which will contain the names of all those for whom you request our prayers. This book will be solemnly presented during the Offertory Procession and placed on the altar at every Mass in November. This ensures that the intentions for your family and friends are offered to God daily alongside the Sacrifice of the Mass.
- Submit Your Names: To have your loved ones enrolled in the Book of Remembrance, please pick up a November Mass Envelope at the back of any of our Churches or stop by the Parish Office during business hours.
Please note: Due to the great number of intentions we receive, we are not able to publish every name in our weekly bulletin. However, every name submitted will be included in the Book of Remembrance and lifted up in prayer.
We also continue to pray for our sick and those whose immediate anniversaries fall during this time in our weekly bulletin prayers.

Please Observe Quiet During HSC Exams
We ask for the community's mindfulness and cooperation as the Higher School Certificate (HSC) exams continue this week.
Our facilities, specifically the Parish Centre and the surrounding buildings next to the Car Park, are being utilised as official examination venues from 16th October to 7th November.
We kindly ask all visitors and parish members to:
- Be Mindful of Noise: Please observe silence or keep voices very low when approaching or leaving the Parish Centre and adjacent buildings during the day.
- Use the Car Park Carefully: Please drive and park cautiously and quietly when using the Parish Car Park during this period.
Your respect for the students during this important time is greatly appreciated.
