Wishing You God's Blessings in Dubbo
This weekend, our parish community offers a heartfelt farewell to Fr. Cong as he prepares to transition to his new ministry in Dubbo.
Fr. Cong has been a beloved and dedicated member of our parish family since arriving in Mudgee shortly after his ordination in 2024. During his time with us, he has served with great enthusiasm, supporting our families, celebrating the Sacraments, and enriching the spiritual life of our entire rural region.
We extend our deepest gratitude for his presence, his ministry, and his commitment to our faith community.
We sincerely wish Fr. Cong all of God's richest blessings for his future endeavours. While we will miss him greatly, we remain hopeful that his path will bring him back to visit our parishes soon!

Remembering Our Faithful Departed:
The Book of Remembrance
November is a sacred time in our Church year, dedicated to prayerful remembrance and intercession for all those who have died. We invite you to join our parish community in this beautiful tradition as we commit to praying for your departed loved ones throughout the entire month.
How We Remember at the Catholic Parish of St Mary of the Presentation Mudgee:
- The Book of Remembrance: We are preparing our special Book of Remembrance, which will contain the names of all those for whom you request our prayers. This book will be solemnly presented during the Offertory Procession and placed on the altar at every Mass in November. This ensures that the intentions for your family and friends are offered to God daily alongside the Sacrifice of the Mass.
- Submit Your Names: To have your loved ones enrolled in the Book of Remembrance, please pick up a November Mass Envelope at the back of any of our Churches or stop by the Parish Office during business hours.
Please note: Due to the great number of intentions we receive, we are not able to publish every name in our weekly bulletin. However, every name submitted will be included in the Book of Remembrance and lifted up in prayer.
We also continue to pray for our sick and those whose immediate anniversaries fall during this time in our weekly bulletin prayers.
During this coming Advent season, Bishop Michael has requested that each parish across the diocese hold a Penitential Service. This Penitential Service will initiate a new journey of renewal, Rebuild My Church, a diocesan-wide process leading to a Parish Assembly in 2026. Walking together in faith and mission, the initiative invites every parishioner to take part in renewing the life of the Church through participation, communion, and mission.
As we commence this significant journey, parishioners are warmly invited to attend our Advent Penitential Service to be held at:
St John The Baptist, Gulgong
Tuesday, 16th December at 6:00 pm
St Dominic's, Kandos
Thursday, 18th December at 6:00 pm
St Mary of the Presentation, Mudgee
Monday, 22nd December at 6:00 pm
