Planned Giving 2026 / 2027

Without your financial support, we cannot continue to do what we are called by God to do—look after the pastoral life and outreach of our parishes, which is our most important ministry. To achieve this, we must meet everyday operational costs, including electricity, rates, salaries, rising insurance costs, and the ongoing maintenance of our beautiful church buildings and grounds.

Re-Committing to Our Mission

Over the next few weeks, we are asking all parishioners to commit or re-commit to Planned Giving by completing a new Giving Card. Accurate planned giving data allows the parish to responsibly budget for essential maintenance and repairs throughout the coming year.

Privacy Collection Notice: Our Care for Your Information

As a Catholic community across our sister parishes of Mudgee, Gulgong, and Kandos, we are deeply grateful for your decision to support our shared mission, ministries, and outreach programs through our Planned Giving Campaign. In stepping forward to partner with us, you entrust us not only with your financial gifts but also with your personal information. We hold this trust in the highest regard and are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

    What We Collect and Why

To faithfully administer your pledges, issue annual tax receipts where applicable, and keep you informed about the fruits of your generosity, we collect and hold personal details such as your name, residential address, email address, and phone number.

If you choose to fulfill your giving via credit card or direct debit using our physical pledge cards, we will temporarily handle your payment information solely to establish your automated arrangement. Please be assured that these physical details are held under strict lock and key, processed confidentially via industry-standard secure protocols (compliant with PCI-DSS standards), and permanently destroyed via secure shredding immediately after setup. We do not store or retain physical or local digital copies of your full credit card numbers once your secure automated giving is active.

Your details are handled with the utmost discretion by our centralised parish administration team based at the Mudgee parish office. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data. To process your gifts smoothly and maintain financial accountability, your information may be shared with trusted third-party service providers, solely for the purposes intended:

    • Our banking institution and secure payment gateway providers (exclusively for processing your card or direct debit transactions).
    • The Diocesan central administration office (where necessary for overarching financial auditing, compliance, and regulatory reporting).

We do not disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.

If You Choose Not to Provide this Information

You are welcome to give anonymously or using a pseudonym if you wish. However, please note that without your contact and financial information, we will be unable to set up automated periodic giving, associate your contributions with your specific parish record, or issue you an annual statement or tax receipt for your records.

Access, Corrections, and Our Privacy Policy

You have a right to access the personal information we hold about you, or to ask for a correction if any of your details change. If you have any questions, wish to update your preferences, or have a concern about how your data has been handled, please reach out directly to the Parish Office.

For more detailed information on how we manage personal data across our parishes, including how you can lodge a privacy complaint and how we will respond, please view our full Privacy Policy, which is also available on request from the parish office.
